Job Description

Key Responsibilities

End-User & Technical Support

  • Provide first-line support for staff on computer hardware, operating systems, and common software applications.
  • Troubleshoot internet connectivity, network access, and basic Wi-Fi issues.
  • Assist users with Microsoft 365 services such as Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, and user account access.
  • Log, track, and follow up on support requests, escalating issues where necessary.

Systems, Data & Asset Management

  • Create, update, and maintain IT asset inventories (devices, peripherals, licenses).
  • Maintain secure and up-to-date databases of system logins, access credentials, and software allocations.
  • Assist with archiving digital files and emails in line with organisational policies.
  • Support the clean-up and decommissioning of deprecated or unused systems, accounts, and software.

Documentation & Process Support

  • Assist in documenting IT procedures, workflows, and system configurations.
  • Source and research information on new tools, systems, or workflows as directed by the IT lead.
  • Help improve clarity and organisation of IT records and internal documentation.

General Support Duties

  • Assist with setting up workstations, user accounts, and devices for new staff.
  • Support routine IT maintenance tasks and audits.
  • Perform other reasonable IT-related duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Competencies

Technical Skills

  • Basic understanding of computer hardware, Windows and common office software.
  • Basic knowledge of internet, networking, and connectivity troubleshooting.
  • Practical experience or familiarity with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint).
  • Experience with macOS, CLI, remote and cloud software is a plus.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and inventories using spreadsheets or databases.

  • Good communication skills and a helpful, service-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently when required.
  • Willingness to learn new systems, tools, and workflows.
